These airlines are expanding their coverage to other continents and countries. These airlines are still ordering latest airplanes from Boeing and Airbus when other domestic airlines are in deep trouble. This is a big sign for growth of inter-continental travel and tour growth. Even though the week economy and price of fuel are making a big dent in the whole travel and tour economy the international travel business may still increase due to the world is interconnected more than ever. However the online booking for international booking will not be as smooth as domestic flights. The online flight info about travel and other info is not fresh as human travels do. Nowadays traveling in any part of the world requires up-to-date info about countries political, economical, Health, and other travel info on the fly. Most online booking engines can not cover some of the details except national news, weather, currency exchange and security warnings. However travel agencies have lots of up to date info.
Sill human agencies are the vital part of international and domestic flights. An experienced and well trained travel consult is very important when you book your flight to an international destination where the trip requires more than one or more stopovers and connection flights. The passenger was tired and he wanted to spend extra money and he hopped in one of the hotel shuttle and booked one night by the near by hotel.
Here is the fun part. Since it was kind of late the passenger wanted to get enough sleep. When he look around he found a fridge full of drink , and he took 2 mini bottle whisky. Just to fall sleep, and then he ordered his dinner (room service).He said a well dressed room service fully dressed in white appeared with a cart. The passenger was busy and he did not bother to see what is inside the cart and simply gave a tip for the room service and decided to take a shower. After he took shower, he was hungrier that before and wanted to eat his dinner. He uncovered the cart and said there were lots of plates, spoon and coffee post. Then he found one covered dish and inside there was a piece of egg sandwich. He said, I gobbled the whole sandwich in one shoot. Since he was still hungry, he decided to add more and instead of the room service he went to the hotels restaurant and ordered additional food and went to his bed.
The real upset came when he was checking out. He thought the mini bottle whisky in his room was for free. He said I am lucky, if I was not tired I could drink the entire bottle in the fridge. The bill was outrageous; he paid more than $340.00 for 10 hrs stay. For some people the money may be not big. However for this person who was on vacation for more than 3month the unexpected expense was unbearable. He was upset and unhappy. Such kind of unexpected and unpleasant experiences could be avoided if an experienced agency booked his trip.
In such kind of situations, an online booking will not work well, except calculating the lowest fare. That is one of the main reason why still the airlines are depended on travel agencies to sale their ticket for their intercontinental travels, as the same token the passengers need to find a real travel agency who know about the route inside out.
